Mémoires Transgénérationnelles [Transgenerational Memories]

By presenting testimonials of the people who participated in the project, this work aims to paint an overall portrait of the fight for trans rights in Quebec and the specific issues associated with age and transness. Through their stories, the participants detail sociohistorical, cultural, medical, and interpersonal issues related to gender transition. This collective memoir not only raises awareness about trans experiences, but also transmits older trans individuals’ wisdom and history to the younger generations in an effort to create a bridge between the two.
