This lecture traces the history of the relationship between psychiatry and 2ELGBTQI+ communities, highlighting the impact of pathologization on trans people and the struggles that have led to significant changes in Canada.
By bringing together trans perspectives and those of the Mad Pride movement, it invites us to rethink mental health beyond medical norms, promoting approaches that are more inclusive, supportive, and rooted in social justice.
Free event; no registration required.
